Small Raised Round Moles On My Ear, Bleeding On Scratching. Treatment Options?
I have two small very slightly raised round moles on my ear. I was poking and scratching one mole since many days thou it was not itching. Yday i poked and scratched its tip so hard that blood came out and after bleeding profusely for 5 mins the bleeding stopped. Now there is no pain or itching and i have no such signs of spontaneous bleeding from any mole
Dear Dr Dikshika,
hello, you might be having pyogenic granuloma. These are benign small red to brown elevated asymptomatic lesions that bleed even on slight manipulation. Ear is a common site for these. The treatment is very simple, get the RF cauterization done for these lesions. Its a small procedure not taking more than few minutes. Take a course of oral and topical antibiotics for 5 days to prevent any superceding infection. Hope that answers your query. take care.
