Small Lump Above Belly Button, Discharging Yellow Pus, Bleeding, Pain On Sitting, Standing. Causes?
For about a week my stomach would hurt when i would sit down, stand up, and bend over. I felt my stomach and there was a small painful lump above the left side of my belly button. After a week of pain, last night my belly button started to have yellow smelly puss come out with traces of blood . I have had puss come out before just not with blood or pain. What could this be?
Hello
Thanks for your query. You have a small lump on left side of belly button giving a severe pain Now there is a purulent discharge from your belly button. This is simple boil(a staphylococcal infection of the hair follicle) which has burst and opened up in bellybutton.Since bellybutton is itself potentially dirty area and more prone for infection You have to clean it thoroughly with antiseptic solution(Betadine) and do the proper dressing .Please take some higher Antibiotics after consulting your family physician.
