Small Child, Vomiting Episodes, Tiredness. Can Emerset Syrup Be Given In Case Of Emergency?
My daughter is 3 yrs old,she vomited early in the morning, after she had some water and after sometime she again vomited, she felt tired and slept by 10 am I gave her rice porridge by now she is fine...in case of emergency can I give her emerset syrup,I would kindly like to know the dosage amount...any diet food to be followed?.... Thank u....

In emergency Emeset syrup can be given. The dose depends on the weight of your child, if your child weight is between 12 to 14 Kg 5mL can be given. But if vomitings are continuing better to consult your regular pediatritian. At the same time hydration of baby is to be maintained by giving frequent sips of oral rehydrating fluids. Regarding diet whatever regular family diet you are cooking can be given to your child

yes you can give emeset syrup 1 tsp for your baby.

After 20--30 minutes you must start with oral dehydration salts solution in clean water( like electrobion).
This you can do till you reach the doctor.
