Small Child, Small Red Bump On Left Rib, Pus Discharge. Put Bactrium On Wound. Treatment Options?

my son is 18 months. sunday i noticed a small red lump on his left rib. it is now hard and pus came out today. i have covered the wound and put bactrium on it. can i assume this is a boil? he is not running a fever . but seems to not want anyone to touch it. it seems to hurt him. what should i do besides take him to the doctor?

Hi
He got infection.
Please give him antibiotic amoxycillin syrup along with anti inflammatory ibuprofen with paracetamol syrup.
Continue local ointment application with dressing.
It subsides.
Nothing to worry
Wish him speedy recovery
