Small Child, Headaches, Fever, Brownish Red Vaginal Discharge, Frequent Urination. UTI Symptoms?
My daughter is 3 & has been complaining of headache for the past few days & has been wetting her pants frequently (very uncommon for her). Tonight she started a low grade fever & when she went potty she said her pee pee hurt. I looked at the area and when I looked there was a small amount of brown/red drainage that looked like snot. Is this a normal symptom of a uti?
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Urinary tract infection is common in girl child.I advise you to get her urine examined for any infection,in the meantime you should give paracetamol for fever if it is above 100F,give her plenty of fluids, coconut water, fruit juice, curd.
in case symptoms do not get better take her to pediatrician.
Your baby will be fine,
God bless
Hi,
Thank you for your query,
As she started bed wetting, low grade fever and hurting pee, these are symptoms of urinary tract infections and urine sample should be give for complete urine examination to detect infection and urine for culture and sensitivity to identify the cause of urine infection and to select appropriate antibiotic.
So consult your Pediatrician for check up , investigation and start of appropriate antibiotic depending on urine examination.
Hope i have answered your query, if you have any doubt feel free to approach.
Thank you.
