Small child having fever, running nose. Taking crocin, reduces fever. Treatment?

Thank you Dr., My daughter aged 2.3 yrs is running temperature from yesterday evening onwards along with running nose . Previous to this she had running nose for 2 days. Fever reduces when we give her crocin , which we are giving every 5 hrs one dose of 5 ml. She is active when there is no fever. Kindly suggest

Your child is suffering from viral upper respiratory tract infection. You give her paracetamol along with do tepid sponging to bring down the temp. Also give her Timinic syp 2.5 ml thrice a day for five days, Syp Zinc 5 ml once a day for 14 days. Maintain adequate hydration and proper nutrition. Be watchful for persistence of fever, increased respiratory distress, decreased oral intake or any other obvious symptoms. If you notice any of these consult you doc immediately.

Most likely it is viral fever.
It is likely to settle down in another day or two.
She may need antibiotic.
Give enough fluids.
