Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Your child seems to have gastroenteritis due to a virus or a bacteria.

Continue the medication as prescribed by your Pediatrician.

The mainstay of treatment is to maintain hydration by giving sips of oral rehydration solutions like Pedialyte.

Monitor hydration by her urine output, activity, skin turgor, and moisture of tongue and oral cavity.

The pain in abdomen is due to increased intestinal motility due to infection and the pain will subside once the infection subsides.

You can add probiotic like lactobacillus or saccharomyces after consulting your Pediatrician.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
