Small Child, Fever, Red Cheeks, Loss Of Sleep. Due To Teething Or Viral Infection?

My little girl keeps waking in the night with a fever 38 and really red cheeks. She seems to be very uncomfortable. She is almost two now, we have been giving her ibruprofen to help her sleep every 5 hours, 2.5ml a time. Is this likely to be teething or a viral infection? How can we make her mire comfortable. Many thanks

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
your baby is having fever, red cheeks and is restless,it is usually viral in origin.I advise you to give paracetamol when fever is more than 100F every 6 hourly, give her plenty of fluids, coconut water, fruit juices. She will be well in couple of days but if symptoms persist then take her to pediatrician,

Wishing your daughter good health.
God bless
