Small But Painful Cut On The Bottom Of Foot, Tender. Can This Be Treated At Home ?

I have a small but painful cut on the bottom of my foot.
I noticed today after wearing flip flops that the side of my foot is very tender and a faint red line has appeared on the instep of my foot......everything I look up is saying blood poisoning. I feel fine (no fever, chills etc) Do I need to go to the doctor or can I treat this at home. I am not diabetic and I am 42 years old.
Thank you in advance

Hi and welcome to HCM.
It is better to go to your doctor for cut over your foot. It need sterile dressing to prevent further chances of infection. You can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Do proper padding to avoid the pressure.
Hope this will helps you. Take care.
