Slower Heart Rate, On Several Medicines Like Losartan, Metformin. Could These Medicines Be The Cause ?

Yes, I'm on several medicines and feeling worst then I did before I took them. Rush to the hospital thinking I was having a heart attach. Is there any medicine out there that are nature and approved by FDA?

These are the medicines I am taking Losartan/hct 100-12.5 mg, Montelukast 10mg, Amlodipine 10mg, Metformin ER 500mg, Omeprazole 20mg, Gabapentin 100mg, carvedilol 3.125mg, Metoprolol 25mg, Sertraline 100mg and creon. I feel I'm taken to many and they may be causing me to be sick and slow my heart rate down and causing many side effects. Is this possible. My heart is good so far.

Hi,

Based on from the information provided it seems that you are having slow heart rate and wanting to know which of the listed drugs viz Losartan/hct 100-12.5 mg, Montelukast 10mg, Amlodipine 10mg, Metformin ER 500mg, Omeprazole 20mg, Gabapentin 100mg, carvedilol 3.125mg, Metoprolol 25mg, Sertraline 100mg and creon may cause it.

Metoprolol along with carvedilol will reduce your heart rate and I think they were the major cause to slow your heart rate.

Hope it helps

10 medicines at ago are definitely too many and some of them can slow the heart rate as you said. You need to be medically reviewed by your doctor to see if some of the medications can be withdrawn.
