Slipped Down Using Elbow. Severe Pain, Hurts On Muscle, Arm. What Is It?

I was roller skating and slipped and as my reflex action, landed on my elbow...
There was pain, and something moved (pretty sure wasn't my bone) but it went back into place..
Now it still hurts on a muscle and its affecting my whole second part of my arm, leaving the hand and wrist..
Can you tell me what it is and what I should do.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for writing to us.
It might be soft tissue injury, ligament injury or fracture.
Without X-ray, it is difficult to differentiate a fracture from others. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.
In the interim, apply ice packs to the affected area,anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid lifting and rest well.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
Dr Saurabh Gupta.
