Slight Yellow Discoloration Of The Eye! Diagnosed With Thalassemia Minor Heterozygous. Related To Nutrition ?

Hello, i was diagnosed with thalassemia minor heterozygous, likely delta beta thalassemia what does this mean and is it related to the slight yellow discoloration of the eye!? is it related to seasons or nutrition !? I know that thalassemia is a disorder in red blood cells production hence folic acid supplements may be needed for life as this considered a chronic disorder, accordingly this disorder may cause iron deficiency but can it lead to hemochromatosis ?

Hi dear your having thalassemia minor, and you want to know its cause ,dear it is neigther causedby seasons or nutrition,In thalassemia the genetic defect, which could be either mutation or deletion, results in reduced rate of synthesis or no synthesis of one of the globin chains that make up hemoglobin. a thing which is present in red blood cell. This can cause the formation of abnormal hemoglobin molecules, thus causing anemia, the characteristic presenting symptom of the thalassemias. Thalassemia is a quantitative problem of too few globins synthesized, yes it can lead to hemochrmatosis.
