Slight Numbness In Lower, Back Head With Tight Neck And Shoulders. History Of Removed Herniated Disc. Is This Normal?

I BELIEVE I STRAINED MY NECK MUSCLE A WEEK AGO. I AM 52 YEARS OLD AND HAD A HERNIATED DISK REMOVED AND HAD TO WAY THE MIAMI COLLAR FOR 6 WEEKS. AFTER STARTING BACK AT THE GYM I BELIEVE THIS IS WHERE I DID THIS. MY QUESTION IS I HAVE A VERY SLIGHT NUMBNESS / TINGLENESS IN THE LOWER PART OF BACK HEAD TO GO WITH SORE / TIGHT NECK AND UPPER SHOLDERS. DOES THIS SOUND NORMAL?

Welcome to Health care magic forum.
You believe that you have strained your neck muscle and have slight numb ness, tingleness, in the lower part of back of head, tight neck and upper shoulders.
If you have no history of the surgery,it could be the strained neck. I doubt it to be some thing concerned with the surgery.
I advise you to consult your surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, ofloxacin, mefenamic acid, paracetamol, till he meets his doctor.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
