Hi and thanks for the query,

It might be important to know if you have a past history of opthalmologic or eye disease or not. Eye pathologies could usually accompany such headaches at times. The headaches could generally be primary (migraine, tension headaches or cluster headaches) or secondary (organic disease like tumors, abcessess etc). In your case however, its most likely to be a primary headache. Migraines could classically present as such.

A good evaluation of the past medical history, exclusion of opthalmologic disease could help the physician better ascertain the main cause of your headache. I suggest you get a proper clinical review from your primary care physician, or your neurologist, depending on the findings in the primary healthcare service.

Thanks and kind regards,

Bain LE, MD.
