Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query,

Let me tell you that there are so many causes of headache like migraine, tension headache, brain infection/tumor, bleed in the brain and so on. In very young children sometimes epilepsy can present with short lasting headache.

Back to you, the possibility in your son's case could be migraine and or a remote second possibility of epilepsy. The best way to resolve these issues are to get two investigations namely CT scan of the brain and EEG(A test which can tell if he has epilepsy).

As epilepsy and migraine both can respond to the medicine that your doctor has advised, you can continue it. But in the current era of medicine, the diagnosis should be proved. You may consult a neurologist rather than a neurosurgeon for this problem.

Hope this helps
Best wishes
