Sleep Apnea, Asthma, Seizure, Autism. Took Depakote ER. Hospitalized For Bad Range, Manic Behavior. Adverse Reaction?
.My 9.5 year old 67 pound girl started Depakote ER and stopped taking the shorter acting version of the drug 4 days ago. she has a complicated medical history including Sleep apnea, asthma and seizures. She also has been diagnosed with Autism and ODD and SED. She ended up in the ER tonight after a bad rage and manic behavior causing safety concerns. Could this be an adverse reaction?

Medications usualy do not end up with manic behavour , rather its a familial problem and children with asthma usually predispose to this disease.
