Sinus Infection, Hypothyroid, Increased Medication, Getting Swaying Feeling Constantly. What Is Going On ?

Hello. I went to the doc a month and a half ago and got diagnosed with a sinus infection and I also have hypothyroidism, which in my blood work was off, they they increased my medication. Everything Else seemed Okay during my check up and blood work. After about a week I started getting this swaying/movement feeling all the time. It would get worse when I took the elevator and I just didn't feel like myself. I was getting headaches and neck pain. Also, if I would move my head a certain way I would get a more intense feeling like a jolt of the swaying. The headaches have gone away at this time but the swaying/movement feeling is still there as well as all the other symptoms. I went back to my doc last week and he told me he thinks it's my sinuses and the slight fluid in my left ear and to take sudafed and see how I feel in a couple weeks. I have done a Neti pot and got some accupuncture to help the inflammation In my sinuses but still not feeling better. Any ideas what is going on?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Thanks for writing to H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding swaying feeling, though you are suffering from sinusitis as well. I am suspecting that you are facing the B.P.P.V. This is a type of vertigo and it develops due to disturbances in vestibule of inner ear. Your sinusitis may aggravate the symptoms.

I will suggest you to take anti vertigo medication along with sinusitis treatment with consent of your treating doctor.

Regards.
