Should The Hard Lump On Ribcage Be A Cause Of Alarm Considering A Family History Of Breast Cancer?

I have recently found a small hard lump on the top of my left rib cage just under the bra. The lump is about the size of a dime and I have had yearly mammograms for the last 5 years with no concerns. With breast cancer running in my family am I just being crazy. It s not on the breast tissue.

Welcome to Healthcaremagic....If the lump is in the ribcage and not in the breast then it is not breast cancer... especially as it is there for five years on mammogram....in view of family history just continue with annual screening mammograms....
