Should Tetanus Injection Be Taken For Cut Around The Nail Of Toe?

I had a cut around the nail of the middle toe on my right foot on Sunday afternoon. It didn't bleed much but it is a little sore and there is a red spot at the bottom right part of the nail. I've been treating it with Neosporan and putting a band aid on it. My last tetanus shot was Sept 06. Should I get another tetanus shot? Do I need to go to the doctor for this?

Hi
I can understand your concern.
Yes, a booster dose of tetanus injection should be taken.
If you have completed a course of tetanus toxoid injection in September 2006,
you need to take a booster dose of the tetanus injection within 24 hrs of the injury.
Yes, to take the injection you have to visit a doctor's clinic.
Hope this answers your query.
