Should Pregnancy Test Be Taken If Light Red\orange Period?

I am currently taken metaformin. I have pcos. I have been spotting on my period. My period is very light red/orange mixed. It first started off brownish for a couple of days then it went to bright red. It s blood only when I wipe. This have been going on for 5 days nows. I haven been having headaches and some mild cramps. Should I take a pregnancy test ?

well in your case , oligomenorrhea due to PCOS is the cause and not the pregnancy. the periods may be scanty to heavy. unless you are expecting after an unprotected intercourse, thats causing you worry. in either case once bleeding has started , pregnancy is unlikely.
but if you are contemplating pregnacy then it is always better to clear conscience once and for all, you can get a urine pregnancy test done. for the cramps, you may start TAB MEFTAL SPAS 500mg thrice a day for next 3 days.
