Should Pain In Tooth After A Fall Mean Tooth Damage?

My 10 yr old daughter tripped over a wooden chair and jammed the armrest into her top lip. Lip was bleeding and so was the gum around her front tooth. It is her permanent tooth. Touched it to see if it was loose and she screamed, but it wasn t loose. Worried that she damaged her tooth. What should I look for in the next few day? Should I take her to the dentist?

Dear User,

Thanks for using health care magic.
you should visit a dentist and take a x-ray(iopa),so he or she observe properly,
because infection occur after some time,
and dentist can observe tissue around the teeth and treat.

'Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help".
Thanks

Hello.
Tooth may or may not have injury inside in your case.don't chew or cut hard with that tooth for few days. see what happens. I would also suggest to take a x ray.and then get that tooth checked with vitalometer periodically with dentist. this can give us idea about further management .
Hope this will help.

Hello, Thank you for consulting with HCM.
It can be possible that when your daughter has fallen she might had got the tooth fracture from inside or slightly pushed inside or the soft tissue has got damaged, as there was bleeding and even she is having pain in the tooth.
So please do not waste time and visit a good dentist and get an x-ray done of that tooth, which will show any fault or fracture in the tooth, and treatment will be done according to that.
Hope it will help you.
