Should Leg And Heel CAT Scan Be Done For Possible Spur Growth On Heel?

Hello Doctor, I returned from a 10hr flight Bangkok to Melbourne (Aust) on Thurs before boarding my Domestic connection I was feeling discomfort in my Mid-Calf muscle which I thought was due to compensating for Limping due to RH Foot Pain. There has been No Prior Trauma to my Foot or Calf but possibly a Spur Growth on the Rear of My Heel. Now My Upper Calf Has significant Pain getting my Leg to Function properly in the Mornings, or after any time sitting down. Should I have my Leg & Heel CAT Scanned Best Regards Don Rear Heal

Dear patient
Xray of heel is sufficient to diagnose heel spur and there is no need for ct scan. If it's heel pain that is aggravate on taking weight on it then Xray of heel anteroposterior and lateral views is sufficient to diagnose it. We better call this plantar fascitis. Wear soft heel cushion which can be fitted in your regular shoes. Injection depomedrol also can be infiltrated locally for long term relief.
