Should I Take Treatment For TB Or Rely On Bronchoscopy?

dear sir,
my ct scan shows the scar in right upper lobe
Radiologist opnion is it is suggestive of tb as well as mantoux test for tb is positive.
But i also took bronchoscopy,bronchoscopy result for tb is negative
now i dono whether to rely on bronchoscopy or to take treatment for tb

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

If you are experiencing unexplained cough for at least two months duration with significant weight loss and generalized weakness then TB is one of the diagnosis in the light of Mantoux test appearing positive. In that case starting TB treatment is advised as long you do not have any other chronic medical condition with similar presentation on Chest X ray. I suggest you get a CT scan chest done for a better evaluation of your chest.
