Should I Take Piriton To Get Rid Of Itching?

Hi! I have been taking antibiotics because i got something that looked like a zit or bug bite on the knee that got infected made the lymph on my hip work hard and make a red line down to the knee, i also had fever. Now the third day in the swelling is almost gone andthe red line and fever is gone, but the zit place is itching. So I m wondering if I can take piriton or something to make it stop itching, or should i just let it be? I m taking 1 flucloxacillin 4 times a day, and going to use it for 4 more days

Hello, I really appreciate your concern. From your description I can understand that your infected wound is getting better now. Itching is a sign of new skin generation. It is a normal phenomenon. If itching is bothering you then you can use tablet Piriton for relief. It is very beneficial in this kind of itching. You are on oral antibiotics so you can apply anti-biotic plus steroid ointment on the itching area. Your itching would completely gone after 7 days of wound healing.
