Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Should I Be Worried Of Bruising And Tenderness Caused By Trauma?
My 8 year old fell down three stairs a few nights ago and drug her back along the stairs, resulting in a scrape and some bruising. The scrape and bruising are gone, but she has tenderness in the area when touched and a knot under the skin. Should I be concerned, or is it just inflammation to the surrounding tissue caused by the trauma of the fall? She is not in constant pain and her range of motion is fine and painless.

Hi.If there is no restriction of movements then I were to treat by applying analgesic creams.Apply hot packs local which will increase the local circulation and relieve the pain.Observe the swelling for 2-3 days.If it does not subside I were to suggest to get a physician's opinion.Hope this answers your query.Get well soon.
