Should I Be Worried About Shallow Breathing And Disorientation Caused Due To Intake Of Mucinex-dm?
My daughter took some mucinex dm last night at 11:00 p.m. - she has been feeling out of it for the lastr 22 hours . Some tingling in hands at times, trouble concentrating at work .Blood pressure is normally 95 over 60 but now was 159 over 100 & and than again 144 over 95. just want to know if I should be concerned or should take her to urgent care . she complains of shallow breathing & disorientation. thank you, Ron Murawski

As you describe, your daughter is intolerant to the antihistamines,Some people intolerant may have the rise in B.P. and hence the effects like the tingling.
She should stop the drug. and consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms low dose anti hypertensive, like Aten 25,diclofenac , and rantac.
