Should I Be Concerned As I Found Blood Spots From Rectum During My Pregnancy Period?

Hi i am 34/35weeks pregnant and after peeing and wiping i noticed a small spot of blood. it did not come from the vagina, it came from the rectum. After wiping a couple more times it was still a small spot or two. Should i be concerned? What should i do?

a few blood spots from your rectumis very common and nothing to be concerned about. the cause is usually hemorrhoids, and they will usually resolve after the pregnancy. if it becomes very bothersome, you can use over the counter creams like preparation H which are safe in pregnancy and work very well.

if you are concerned that it might be vaginal bleeding, or if it becomes severe and the over the counter meds aren't working, you should speak with your doctor.

I hope this was helpful, please let me know if you have we any more questions.
