Should Glands Be Checked For Production Of Excess Growth Hormones?

My son just turned 9 years old. He is 61 inches tall and weighs 98 pounds. His father is 6'3" and I am 5'11". I am concerned he is growing too fast. Should I get his glands (pituitary/thyroid/adrenal I think?) checked to make sure he is not producing too much growth hormone?

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,
I can understand your concern.
He needs a detailed clinical examination by an endocrinologist.
After looking for some other characteristics he will decide rather a hormonal control is useful.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirejta
