Should Both Duphaston And Susten Be Taken In Pregnancy?

My wife is 9week pregnant and doctor adviced to use susten 400mg daily in night (to be inserted),and another doctor adviced Duphaston 10mg in addition. I want to know it is required both medecine? What is the use of it and if we do not use it what it will happen.

Hi,thanks for writing..
Both are progesterone tablet which will help to maintain pregnancy.. If you have a history of threatened abortion or pain abdomen, continue both the tablet till 12 weeks.. But if you dont have any problems duphaston alone will be sufficient.. take good rest.. Get a nuchal translucency scan at 13 weeks.. Hope I have answered your query.. Good day..
