Hello
Welcome to HCM
Abdominal aortic aneurysm is not an emergency unless and until the size of the aneurysm is more than 6 cm.If the size is increasing more than 1 cm per year, then there is need to do surgery.
Since your mother has a very small aneurysm, doctors have deferred for surgery. Its a good decision.
And also she has other co-morbid conditions like paralysis and diabetes,no need of surgery as of now because it may worsen her condition.
Hope you are happy with the answer.
Thank you
