Should An Old Anteroseptal Infarction Be Of Concern?
yes i recently had two ekgs done and both showed that an abnormal result. the report said on the last ekg that i had an old anteroseptal infarction and now im going to see a cardiologist to get a third ekg should i be concerned? im 48 years ol i workout eat helthy and have no known history. thank you

Anteroseptal infarction is a major concern overall about your short term and Longterm health.
If you don't have any past experience of any symptoms than still it's possible to have an attack if u r a diabetic or in sound sleep.
My advice to you is.
1.confirmation about old infarction is very important. Do 2 d echo, and if necessary cardiac MRI.. U surely get confirmation.
2.if you have confirmed about infarction then lifelong treatment with some medications are required. Then you should also undergo coronary angiography. In that u will get an idea where is the block and if necessary angioplasty will ne done to prevent further heart attack.
