Should Alcohol Be Avoided Due To Possible Pregnancy?
Alcohol and possibly pregnancy? I'm really not sure if I am Pregnant yet. It's still too soon to tell. The condom broke on 7/9/11 and my last period started on 6/24/11 so when it broke i was ovulating. I did do the due date calculation if i was and it said I was 2 weeks preggo, however it's still too soon to take a test to really know. My bridal shower is this weekend and there was alcohol planned... is it a bad idea to drink at all even if I don't know if i may be pregnant yet? It hasn't even been 2 whole weeks yet since the condom broke.. it's only been 3 days 4 days tomorrow and by the shower it will be 7 days? I'm thinking I shouldn't drink... just in case I am preggo cause i understand the brain is the first to develop and i don't want to risk it. (but i won't have as much fun at my shower :-(
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. It is true that you had the sexual intercourse around your ovulation dates. You can confirm/exclude pregnancy at this stage ( before the missed period), though the blood test. If positive, please take proper precautions and see a specialist for further management. It is good to see you feel so responsible for the unborn. Please remember, having a healthy child gives you more happiness than a temporary celebration, however important it may be. Alcohol has to be avoid at all costs if pregnancy is confirmed. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
