Should Acquiring Infection After Having Been Involved In Sexual Intercourse Increase Chance Of HIV?

Hello doctor, need help and guidance as i am extremely worried about catching the hiv infection. I am a 40 year male who has frequented few csw for the past several years (received uncovered oral from the girls few times). always used protection during vaginal sex. have tested for hiv every 6 months and has come negative. However a recent infection has scared me to death here are the chain of events : *had visited a csw on 24th nov 2013. gave and received uncovered oral from her. later used protection during vag-intercourse *had visited a csw on 11th dec 2013. gave (only) uncovered oral to her. later used protection during vag-intercourse. during the act the condom got stuck inside her. *Had one of the worst flu after 2 weeks around 26th with most of the symptoms for ars. fever, through redness, night sweats, chills, lost 2 kg, cough with flegm and weezing. was put on azithromycin for 3 days with inhaler for wheezing and cough. fever stopped after 5th day. Tested negative for malaria, dengue. however my CBC was as follows: WBC:2500 Platelet count:1,46,000 Absolute Neutrophils : 1150, Neutrophils:46% Lymphocytes:45%; absolute Lymphocytes:1125 Eosinophils 3 %; Absolute Eosinophils 75 0 - 500 /µL R.B.C. Morphology : Mild anisocytosis W.B.C. Abnormalities : Mild leucopenia, occasional reactive lymphocyte seen. Platelets : Borderline adequate Malaria : negative; Dengue Ns1 came negative. *By 31st, 1st the fever had subsided. Doctor asked me to take another CBC on 2nd Jan 2014 to ensure that the virus had cleared * My new CBC report was as follows WBC:4000 Platelet count:1,57,000 Absolute Neutrophils : 2360, Neutrophils:59% Lymphocytes:33%; absolute Lymphocytes:1320 Eosinophils 1 %; Absolute Eosinophils 40 0 - 500 /µL R.B.C. Morphology : Normocytic, Normochromic W.B.C. Abnormalities : Occasional reactive lymphocyte seen light cough and weezing persisted. chest xray was normal. continued with ab-phylline and the inhaler and eventually the cough wheezing subsided *Due to anxiety, On the 30th from the day of assumed exposure (11 Dec 2013), I got the following done : HIV-p24 antigen detection, serum by ELFA : Negative Negative HIV DUO (serum), by CMIA (IV) th Generation : Non reactive (0.12) HIV - 1 RNA Detection (Qualitative) NOT DETECTABLE CBC : WBC (5900), platet (313000) *today is 16th Jan and I have gained 1 kg weight, however I see white tongue which was there during the above infection and feel some rough skin like sandpaper on roof of mouth on the sides Question: Do i still need to another one at 6 weeks or do a conclusive HIV test at the end of 3 months? I am extremely worried. I heard that white-tongue/oral thrush are other symptoms of hiv. Please help

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

Almost you had protected vaginal sex every time, one time with a slip of condom. Oral sex carries a very low risk for HIV. Nothing to worry about the flu and about the results of CBC.
Regarding the HIV tests, P24 antigen test and HIV DUO are highly reliable and conclusive after 4 weeks of high risk activity. As they were negative, You are HIV free till now. Safe sex during oral coitus is also very important. Kindly stick to it in future.
Regarding your tongue condition , meet a physician and seek his help. It could unlikely to be a oral thrush.
