Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
Post-acne
hyperpigmentation (PAH) is a common complication of acne and may persist long after acne have resolved.
I would rather advice against using this cream for acne scars/pigmentation.
This cream is a combination of a potent
topical steroid,
mometasone furoate along with
hydroquinone and tretinoin.
Though this combination is an excellent pigment lightening formulation however it is not to be used without supervision of a
dermatologist and never to be used all over the face as it can cause irritation.
Dermatologist commonly recommend this cream for facial pigmentation Or Melasma. Moreover the use of this cream is usually restricted to 6-8 weeks because it can lead to steroid related side effects on long term regular use.
Regular use of it can in turn lead to more acne because of the steroid component of this cream.
There are a lot of other skin lightening ingredients which can be used over dark spots left over by acne e.g
Kojic acid, Hydroquinone,
Glycolic acid Azaleic acid etc.
I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your region. Your dermatologist will assess the severity of your problem and advice accordingly.
You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from your dermatologist.
