Should Mezetol Be Continued For Long Time In Case Of Epilepsy?

i am old patient of Dr valsangkar since 15 years. i am epilepsy patient.i'm taking

1-mezetol 200mg ,1-folvite daily.this tablet i'm taking since 15 yrs. I had last seizer 15 yrs back since that i dont have any attack. last yr i met dr valsangkar he said to continue and come after 3 months.but i'm staying in dubai so i'm not able to come.

whether to continue same tablet.? i'm taking this tablet for so many yrs is there any side effect in future.?

Hi, as you old that you are patient of epilepsy and taking tab mazetol for last 15 yrs .
As you are seizure free for 15 yrs you can stop the medicine after EEG.
Every tab has side effects so mazetol is also having side effects .
So consult neurologist and stop tablet after tapering . Thanks
