Should I Worry If Child Had Head Injury And Is Getting Sleepy?
My 3 year old tripped over a basket and tagged his head on the corner of a coffee table. He has a bump and a bruise on the forehead, on the brow line. He has been playing for a couple of hours since the fall. He s now getting sleepy. He doesn t take naps anymore. At what point do I need to worry? Unfortunately I don t have a thermometer to take his temperature.

You do not have to worry. There is also no need for seeing his temperature.
I would suggest you to observe the following and seek medical advise if you notice any of the below mentioned
1. Refusal of feeds 2. Repeated Vomiting 3. Abnormal Convulsive movements of body
If the baby is accepting feeds well, activity is normal once the baby gets up from sleep( do not be worried about duration of sleep), no abnormal movmenets then there seems no cause of concern.
Regarding the bump on forehead it will slowly settle down in a week, applying ice compresses may help.
Write to me if you need any other assistance I hope it helped Do get back to me if you have any other query
Take Care Wishing you and your family a happy and healthy life
