Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My knee has pain on outer aspect and feels like I have no strength in it when trying to stand from a sitting position. An MRI showed no tear, but my doctor wants to do surg to check it out. A physical therapist wanted me to try strengthening my hamstring, but the pain is worse. Should I try some other type of exercise to strengthen or rest it?
