Hello, and i hope I can help you today.
Normally, 80 percent of healthy couples will conceive within a year. The actual definition of
infertility is inability to conceive for one year. Many women have
irregular periods when they come off the pill, but even if you don't menstruate that doesn't mean you don't ovulate.
So I would try to be patient- if you are having regular (at least 2-3 times per week)
unprotected intercourse you should conceive within one year. If after one year of serious trying then I would consider seeing an
OBGYN or fertility doctor for hormone tests and an evaluation. Your husband will also need to get his
sperm count checked as 50 percent of the time the male partner can also be a factor in not getting pregnant. Taking more estrogen may help you to menstruate- but it doesn't affect ovulation or help you conceive. You may want to purchase ovulation predictor kits to check when you ovulate even if you don't get a period.
I hope this information was helpful and that I adequately answered your question.
Good luck and best wishes, Dr. Brown
