Should I take emergency contraceptives after taking althea pills to avoid pregnancy ?

hi, last night my boyfriend and i had an unprotected sex bec. he ejaculated inside me. and i think yesterday was the start of my fertility period . i got scared so i tried taking althea pills immediately. do i have a chance of getting pregnant? if so, is it advisable for me to take the morning-after pill even if i already take althea pills? thanks

Thanks for the query.
Althea are oral contraceptive pills and it should be started from 1st day of menstrual period to have its contraceptive effect during fertility period therefore you have a chance of getting pregnant.
I would suggest you to take morning after pill as soon as possible that is within 72 hours to prevent pregnancy even if you have already taken althea pill.

the chances of getting pregnant are 4% you can start the morning pills after the withdrawal bleeding occurs
