Hi,
Just clean your with betadine n running clean water And take active immunization (Rapidure) on 0,3,7,14,28 day if dog survives after 10 days then no need to take last 2 dosage .
If there is oozing of blood then requires passive immunization .
Associated with symptomatic treatment and antibiotic course for prevention of secondary infection .

Hope this ll help

Thanks n regards

Infectious Diseases Specialist Dr. Praveen G's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

Rabies is a disease transmitted by animal bite, it is 100% fatal but it is 100% preventable by proper and adequate treatment.

Following the dog bite as you had bleeding from the bite site according to WHO category it will be identified as cat III bite.

Cat III bite requires following treatment
1.Thorough wound wash with soap and water for 15 mins.
2.Antirabies vaccine should be taken to deltoid by intramuscular route on days 0,3,7,14 and 28 days.
3.Antirabies serum or rabies immunoglobulins should be take locally in and around the wound following the test dose. Human rabies immunoglobulin can be taken without any test dose.
4.Inj Tetanus toxide, 0.5 ml, intramuscular.

These aforementioned remedies helps to protect you from getting the rabies.
Thank you.
