Should I Start Taking Godex DS Capsule To Minimize SGPT Level?

my sgpt is was 154 u/l a month ago so I decided to stop drinking and start exercising and avoiding fatty foods and eating less rice. I have also started taking medicine Godex DS capsule. However my SGPT result today was 208 u/l. Why is this so and how will I lower it?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Increased SGPT level indicates liver injury. It is important to know about other parameters of LFT like bilirubin level etc.
It is most likely due to alcohol consumption.
You need proper clinical examination and few more investigations.
Other investigations include routine hemogram,RBS(Random blood sugar),Viral markers.Further investigations can be done if needed.

You may need medicines after proper checkup. You can take tablet Ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice daily for three months.Further requirement depend upon follow up reports.
You should continue Godex DS capsule.
You should avoid alcohol completely.
Avoid fatty and fried junk food.
Hope i have answered your query.

Take Care
