Should I Go For Scheduled C-section When Experiencing Pain At Incision Site?
I am currently 36 weeks 6 days and I have a very thin lower uterine segment of .8. I have a scheduled c-section for Monday, February 14th (4th c-section). I have been experiencing pain at my incision site and actually felt a popping sensation last night that shot pain down the length of my incision. I have been having pain at the incision site for the last week and a half. They have put me on bed rest and would like me to try to wait it out as long as possible. Please give me you thoughts.
Hello dear,i understand your concern. In my opinion if there is pain over the suture site with or without tightness of abdomen and backache a vaginal examination is needed to see for any cervical changes and rule out labour pains. If there are any cervical changes and vaginal birth is not possible then the surgery can be planned. There should be nothing to worry regarding the fetal maturity as you have reached term.If there are no changes elective surgery can be planned a week before expected date of delivery.
