hi I am 32 weeks pregnant last week had birthday party for my daughter and it was little hectic for couple of days. after that i started feeling some pain in my left leg (from pelvic area till knee). i am feeling this pain when i turn my side during sleep, stand up and start walk . this pain is not savior but i am feeling it. i read few online comments and few were saying it might be related to early dilation and preterm labor. Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Usually labor pains will present with abdominal pain or backache.
Leg pain may not be representing labor pains.
If pain persisting, once consult gynecologist and get examined.
Check for calf tenderness to rule out coagulation problems.
If your doctor recommends go for coagulation profile.
By doing local examination the possibility of preterm labor can be ruled out.
After that symptomatic treatment with local analgesics and rest may decrease the problem.
Take care.
