Should I Be Worried About The Bump At The Base Of The Skull?

My 6 yr old daughter and I just noticed a hard lump bout 1/2 in diameter on the right side at the back of her head close to the base of her skull. She hasn t complained of any pain but did say she banged it there a couple days ago at her grama s house. We are going to keep an eye on it overnight to see what happens to its size but any ideas? I thought a goose bump wouldn t last this long (3 days) but I don t know how big it was to start with

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It appears to be the swollen lymph gland,at the back of her head. The cause may be the head louse, infection in the scalp, or an injury.
I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment .
He may prescribe you ofloxacin, serratiopeptidase, diclofenac, for relief.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
