Should I Be Worried About Serum Ferritin Being 245?

Hi, I am a 30 Yr old male and I just got my blood test result. It says almost everything (AST, ALT, Gamma Gt, etc) to be in the right range except for my serum ferritin, which is 245. Should I care about it and do further tests to diagnose for the Hemochromatosis? My doctor just told me to eat less meat. Thank you very much.

Hi,
I looked at you reports and my opinion is as follows.

1. The normal serum ferritin levels are 12-300 ng/ml or 12-300mcg/L in males. Your values are within the normal range.
2. You need not worry about hemochromatosis.

Any further queries, happy to help again.
