Should I Be Concerned For Toddler Passing Greenish And Pasty Stool With Some Seeds And Fishy Smell?
My 19 month old has been having diarrhea for the past 2 days. Today, the last 2 times I changed his dirty diaper, I noticed that his stool has firmed up more but it is greenish and pasty, with some seeds in it and it smells somewhat fishy. Is that normal?
Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day
Diarrhoea in children is self limiting. When the stool frequency is decreasing, the stools become more solid then there is nothing to be worried about colour and smell of the stools. It takes some time for the parameters to be back to previous state.
In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
Wishing you happy and healthy life
