Should I Be Concerned For The Pain Caused While Yawning?

This morning after waking up, I yawn and then heard a ripping sound. After swallowing, I felt pain and discomfort. When I swallowed again, I felt pain and swallowing is currently painful. Have I damaged something which is now the reason for the pain and do I need to seek medical attention?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Thank you for contacting HCM.

Can you please elaborate the pain.
Have you felt this pain in the past as well? If yes, then how did it relieve? Secondly, do you feel pain while eating or drinking water?
Apart from that are you feeling hot(having temperature)? If yes, then did you check your temperature?
In most of the cases, a simple "sore throat" also causes pain which acompanies fever, cough & bad taste.
I can help you further if you get back with the answers.

Thank You
