My dad has 2 arteries that are blocked in his stomach and has lost 50-60 lbs and they are not doing surgery until October 31. Is he in danger with these blockages? He is 63 years old 110 lbs 5'10 and was just diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis which is his only history.
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. This may be referred to aortic stenosis or iliac artery stenosis and this is relatively serious condition which may lead to leg amputation if left untreated. There is no need for urgent surgery but if pain, progresses then you should see doctor before this date. In every case, surgery or interventional radiological procedeures are the only possible tretament methods for sch issues. I dont think he is in danger as I said, but long treatment and recovery will be necessary in future. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
