Fibriods are due to excess estrogen levels.Pregnancy is actually not concerned with fibroids, because of high hormonal imbalance you are not having ovulation .That is why you are prescribed CEREPHONE, this is an ovulation induction drug, does not effective on your fibroids. Only problem with fibroid is it will cause effect on growth of the baby, because by occupying the place in uterine acvity. So. the effect depends on size ,number, location(sub mucosal/serosal/intra mural). HSG(hystero salpingo gram) is a test in which, a dye is injected from the vagina into cervix backward till fallopian tubes. It will show the space available for the growth of the baby if conception occurs in the uterine cavity.It will also show patency of tubes both side, which is very important to get pregnant.With out patent tubes, you will not be pregnant even with normal ovulation and normal uterus with out fibriods. So, it is compulsory to get a HSG as advised by your doctor. About the procedure not that difficult ,not painful even. Get a HSG as soon possible. Do not worry about your pregnancy,there are many techniques available for getting rid of your fibroids .Laparoscopy with out open surgery is available, if you have large fibroid.This will not effect on your chances of getting pregnancy.
