General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
I appreciate your concern for the bite by your vaccinated pet dog.

Since the duration of immunity in dogs against rabies is considerably longer than one year and if your dog was vaccinated in the month of March 2014, and if it has bitten within one year following the vaccination then there is no need to take anti rabies vaccine.

Please also make sure that during the last year after vaccination your pet dog is not bitten by another rabid dog.

However, you need to take antibiotics and a proper cleaning.
A booster dose of Injection tetanus toxoid is also recommended if you are vaccinated in the previous 5 years.

Further, your pet dog should be given a booster dose of anti rabies vaccine one year following the initial vaccine & subsequent rabies vaccinations should be administered every three years.

Take care.
